Midland Counties CH Show

I'm always pleased to be placed at any show particularly when it's a Judge that I've never been under and has never seen my dogs before.  Harvey got a VHC which was good.  I'm happy as long as he's placed.  Unfortunately he was on his own as Maddie came down with tendonitis which meant she couldn't be shown and had to stay at home.  Well done to Graufreund Garnet, her litter sister, though who got a Reserve in Minor Puppy.  Overall a well organised show and nice to have the benches at the side of the ring which meant that dogs weren't left on their own.  Free parking too unlike some shows these days!

NEWS Open Show

Pretty awful Sunday at Rothwell weather wise, but a really successful day for the Graufreunds.  Four dogs in the show and all were placed with a first, second, third and a reserve. In spite of the dull weather Harvey shone through to take first place in Open Dog and then went on to win Best Dog and then Best in Show. Maddie took second in Puppy Bitch with Nettie taking reserve.  Grace rounded off the day with a third in Open Bitch.

Gundog Breeds of Scotland/Weimaraner Club of Scotland

Although its always a good weekend in Scotland unfortunately judges north of the border don't seem to appreciate Graufreunds.  We'll keep plugging away though and perhaps one day the breakthrough will come.
